How to send an HTML e-mail campaign with Outlook, through ACT! 6.0 Outlook integration is a fairly new function of ACT! 6.0, so many of you are still getting familiar with how to use it. Here's a tip to help you send a mass HTML Outlook e-mail campaign within ACT! 6.0: Part 1: Create an HTML template: From ACT's File menu, click New. In the New dialog, select Graphical E-mail Template and click OK. In Field Type, specify fields to insert from Contact Record or Field Label. From the Field list, select fields for the template, click Insert, and Close. Type the body of the document, click Insert for merge fields, insert pictures or graphics, and save your template. Part 2: Send an HTML template via e-mail merge: From the Lookup command, create a lookup of contacts for the merge. From the Write menu, click Mail Merge. Choose the contract group, click Next. Choose E-mail. Browse to find the HTML template you just saved. Press Finish and send to Current Contact to preview - and then send to All Contacts. History is posted to each contact record. If you don't already have ACT! 6.0, and want to benefit from these features, check out the ACT! website for more information on how to upgrade for only $99.95. [www.act.com/products/act]
